December 17, 2021 - The ACIL California Cannabis Working Group sent a letter to Department of Cannabis Control Director Nicole Elliott expressing our support for the for the inclusion of independent or third-party testing, sampling, accreditation, or certification entities on the DCC’s Cannabis Advisory Committee.

CA-CWG endorses Laboratory Advisory Committee

November 5, 2021 - In a recent letter to Department of Cannabis Control Director Nicole Elliott, the ACIL California Cannabis Working Group expressed its support for a Cannabis Laboratory Technical Advisory Committee (LTAC) to address technical and related policy issues arising from implementing testing programs within the Department.

CA-CWG pushes for improved language in SB 544

August 27, 2021 - The ACIL California Cannabis Working Group, working in conjunction with the California Cannabis Industry Association, submitted a letter expressing our concerns with language within Senate Bill 544 that could hamper innovation and the ability to provide improvements in cannabis testing laboratories in California.

CA-CWG advocates for representation on the Cannabis Advisory Committee

May 3, 2021 - The ACIL California Cannabis Working Group recently weighed in with the Director of Consumer Affairs on laboratory representation on the Cannabis Advisory Committee that makes recommendations to the Bureau of Cannabis Control.
